I hated to hear Mr. Stallard passed away. I really liked him. I was in school with his son Chuck in elementary school. Didn't know he lived in LA until I read the paper though. Wonder if he knows about this site? I just did memory pages for My family--Ona Adams, Mike Adams, and I did one for Danny Craft a few days ago if anyone is interested.

Hey guys, I hear I've caused some confusion. There isn't a formal reception scheduled up at the high school. The school will be open both friday and saturday for anyone who wants to visit. I am setting up one room for my class of 1976 to hang out in when they want during the weekend. Anyone that wants to come in is welcome, and I truly hope that everyone does. I'm not setting up a room for each class. I would if I could, but I just don't have the time or the resources, sorry. Can't wait to see everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the day. Sort of ironic that thunder woke me this morning! Almost as if the trumpet was sounding the arrival of the event! Gonna be hot & muggy though. Good luck. I can't make it tonight, but I'll be there with bells on.(providing something doesn't happen!) tomorrow night. Please get some big floor fans!!

Hey all Pirates:
I know that not all of you could join us this weekend. I have uploaded some pictures that I took last night of the activities around the ballfield. Take a look, see if you recognize anyone. I will be putting more pics on later on, as I acquire them.
Wish you were here with us, it has been a fabulous time.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to the Fleming-Neon Alumni Committee for their hard work and effort on the reunion. It was absolutely wonderful and everyone seem to have a great time. I know I did. This event took a lot of time and work and they did a fantastic job. Again, THANKS so much!!!!

Thanks for the kind words about the Committee. It was 5 months ago that a bunch of us started talking about the reunion. We pulled it off, with the help of all the Pirates that came to the reunion. It was a lot of hard work, both mentally and physically. For all of those who enjoyed it, I am so glad you had a good time. For those who have something to complain about, please send me an e-mail or call me, I will be happy to address your complaint and also to invite you to join the committee so you can make sure your concerns are taken care of.

The Gathering

Well folks the gathering is finally over and I have to say it was a success.
I would like to personally thank everyone that attended.
I know it was hot but at least it was not raining.
We had former students from 1944 to 2005 in attendance.
Saturday night the gathering lasted until 3:00 AM with the class of 84 being the last to leave the dance floor.
One final thing the pirate ship has not sailed its final voyage that was proved Friday and Saturday night June 26 and 27 2009

I was so pleased to see all the PIRATES come sailing in this weekend. We had an extremely HOT two days, but watching the Hugs, the Smiles, the Laughter, was worth it. I am extremely proud of the Committee. I am honored to have seen all of you Alumni present at this Gathering. I want to thank each of you for being there. Speaking for myself, you made wonderful memories for me that I will carry the rest of my life. I have always been so PROUD TO BE A PIRATE, but never as much as I was when I saw all of you. You each made this GATHERING a Success!!!! Thank you ALUMNI!

Like JoAnn, I have never been so proud to be a Pirate as I was this past weekend! We have always known how special Fleming-Neon was, but this reunion proved it!!! Thank all of you who attended, keep spreading the word about the website and keep in touch. Our little town may have problems, but that little town produced some of the best people in the world...YOU!

Alumni,
To those of you who attended the Reunion on Saturday night June 27,2009, would you please look for a disposable camera. Coach Jack Hall left his disposable camera on the table, and was not able to find it. We think it was picked up by mistake. When you develop your pictures,if you have some that do not look familiar, please let us know. He had taken some prior to the reunion of his family, and would really like to have them. If you do find them, please send them to FNHSAA P.O.Box 482 Neon, Kentucky 41840. and we will make sure to forward them on to Coach Hall. Thank you so much for attending.

Pirates Ahoy!
Pictures have been added of activites on Saturday afternoon and evening. Hope you enjoy looking at friends hugging and smiling as we did watching them in person.
It was such a fab success!@! I was the skeptic of the group--I would have been surprised if we had 200 people. We surely surpassed that! I was so very pleased.
I can't wait to see the pictures come through to me to put up on the site.
Send them to me and I'll get them on. The next reunion will be great.
You guys are what made the reunion a success---you had to come. Without you coming it wouldn't have happened. Thank you for coming, and come again!

Let me add my gratitude to the FN Reunion Committee. It was fantastic to see everyone. Yes it was awfully hot but the rain stopped, the field was beautiful, and after a few minutes of conversation with classmates, the heat didn't matter much. Good job! to all involved! Judy, class of 68

Kudos to the planning committee for pulling off a very fine all-year reunion in June. They provided an opportunity for us to renew old acquaintances, reminisce about old times, revisit the old school and just have an all-around good time. I thank them very much for all their hard work.

Does any one have the manes of the seniors in the picture out side the band room for the cless of 1953.And can you go row by row I know it has been a long time. I think my brother is in the picture. We moved away after that and lived in Alabama. Thanks for any help you can give. I would have been in the class of 1957.
