Ona Blaine Quillen Adams entered her much earned place of rest on June 9, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Essie Blaine Wright Quillen, the family was lifelong residents of Neon. She was married to the love of her life-Robert Vernon (Bob) Adams who couldn't live without her and died on August 30, 2007, just 2 short months after her death. Their love was witnessed by all who knew them, it was lifelong and magical. Both Bob and Ona were born to work in the community and they taught this to their children-Philip, Michael & Linda. Ona was a member of First Church of God since the age of 13 and worked there every time the doors opened. She worked long and hard in her youth for the fire department, Lion's club, and other organizations who needed her. Service was who she was to the community----Love was who she was to her family. She is missed greatly. Both her and Bob.
Bob was instrumental in getting the current football field and other sports programs going in Neon. This became an obssession of his after his retirement from the A & P. He loved sports and kids. He used all his vast knowledge to help in any way he could.
